I've thought that for a little while as I try to be the honest guy. I actually hated cops for quite a while because of the same type of "small town justice." But the truth is, in the dog-eat-dog world of money/fame/power/etc, "nice guys finish last" has some validity, but in the happiness/quality of life side (the better part), it's absolutely wrong. You'll never be as happy if you refuse to forgive others, regardless of the reason. The bitterness makes you miserable.

Keep trying to do right and don't get jaded.

Cities aren't all good. An example would be when a bunch of dumb kids decide to buy matching black 08 civics (which happens to be what I drive) and see who can drive more recklessly. The back of my car has become a cop magnet.

I dnno bout you guys but cops in my area loves my car. lol
On my way home today from work topdown coming off the freeway(on-ramp) a red light just turned green and I took the left turn going 40mph on the left lane and I saw a cop in front of the line(right) also turning left. I got so scared i thought I was gonna have a heartattack.

He got behind me and I hit a red light and he pulled up right next to me... Rolled his window down, both officers looked at me, nods and smiled.... I smiled back, lights turn green and went.. damn, my knees was shaking...

Not the first time either....

lol yeah, i do that a lot, I tend to sound cruel if I don't haha. I probably can't get the court cost thrown out but I can hopefully get the ticket dropped. I'll have to defer payment since I don't even have the money to pay the ticket.

Not really. Nice guys do have some advantages when it comes to getting arrested. Just for future reference if you ever find yourself being handcuffed, be respectful, honest, don't argue and you'll get the holding cell by yourself with the pay phone in it and free to make all the calls you want.

Act like a dick and you'll be in a little room with no window listening to the guy next door scream about how he didn't know his niece wasn't 18 and it was the crack that made him do it.

That's been my experience anyway. More than once...

I used to think cops were gay and always picking on me, then I grew up and matured.

start doing crazier stuff. For some reason if you're just going ape poopie, cops aren't anywhere in sight.

LOL, even dishonest people can make honest mistakes.

I tend to look at this kind of thing as a matter of accountability rather than honesty. If I'm speeding or breaking some other traffic law and get stopped for it, I don't blame the cop. To me that would be like wringing the head off a bolt and then blaming the wrench.
