Hahaha, most of you guys don't have a clue what it's like to actually "live out in the sticks." We live in *Twiggs* county, and the nearest community is known as Dry *Branch*. Between the branches and the twiggs, it's hard to get any further out in the sticks, at least in the continental US. When you *really* live out in the sticks, everyone knows everyone else, and if you can't get along with the resident constabluary, they just harass you until you leave the area. If, on the other hand, like most people who live in such areas, you get along with your distant neighbors, the constabulary is a non issue. The cops around here are more interested in seeing how fast my car will go than they are in giving me tickets, and that's the way it is when you really get out in the sticks.
DO NOT go through this county breaking the speed limits or traffic laws if you don't live in the county. They'll make you sorry you ever came here. But if you live here, they're cool.
A funny thing happened at ECES a few years ago. ECES is the "East Coast Extreme Showoff" that's held in Savannah Georgia, and that year CCR was showing with the Tuner Chic models. Most of the people from this area who went to the show went as a group, and we all ended up going to a big afterparty at the home of a local cop. After the show one of the guys (not a guy that was from this area, but just some guy who knew the cop and was at the show), got stopped in route from the show to the party. Got stopped for exhibition of speed, and for doing something crazy like 130 in a 45. When he told the cop that stopped him that he was on the way to a party at Eddie's house, the cop called to verify that he really knew Eddie, and then let him go scott free, "as a professional courtesy." Things like this are the reason we say that "life isn't fair."

^ Twiggs and Branch...
Heehee, that's a pretty good one.
And, I pretty much agree with the consensus on this thread too. Mistakes are mistakes, no matter how innocently commited. When I first moved to SF, I too made an illegal left turn, due to brain fade. Right into the path of six or seven motorcycle SFPD officers.
The first cop pulls me over, comes up to the window, and asks are you lost? I said "uh yeah..." He then gave me a ticket that cost me $185 and the directions to the Dim Sum restaurant I was looking for. Most expensive Chinese food I've ever had!

Move out of the sticks man
Officers in cities have better things to do with their time other than hassle you for traffic tickets

Most of this area is monitored by campus police, aka rent-a-cops. I was given a ticket by one of these bastards for going too slow.
-It was raining very hard...I was going 20 in a 35. Can we say ASSHOLE

weird, doesn't happen to me... I guess I don't look like a punk kid rofl, seriously though I think it depends in the area you live in cause it inturns makes the cops angry or laid back...

So it's 1 AM, you make an illegal left on red directly behind a cop. You're lucky he didn't write you for driving on the wrong side of the road. What? You pulled in to the right lane? That would be illegal even if it were a 1 way street. Just suck it up and pay the ticket, man.
By the way, you goin' to Wake the Dragon?
