GTR Power,
Hmm, thanks for the response but probably too late to change and don't like the idea of shelling out for tires each 12.5K miles. I think I can get used to the softer walls. What would you have suggested to replace the S02s?

If you're using the OEM wheels there's really no reason to go to different tires.

Stick to the W-rated S-02. It works fine for the stock wheels. I only recommend the S-03 PP for people who change the wheel size.

Went back to the place I bought the SP9000. He'll take them back for the S02s. I'll just have to be a little more judicious in my use the rear!

This is conventional wisdom and generally wise. In our case though, this is what comes from the factory. The front patterns and, I'm pretty sure, compounds are different from the backs.

This wisdom is most true when all four tires are exactly the same. That said, I've never had a problem with careful selection of different tire brands/types as long as the they are the same on each axle. I'm currently running stock fronts with AVS Sports on the back and the balance is still about the same.
