Relatively speaking the S2000 is not a common car though other S2k owners are certainly going to notice them if they see them. If you want real exclusivity then you need to shell out the big bucks! I personally don't mind seeing other S2ks out there as long as they're a different color!

Wow I didn't even know they had a sub-forum for old-farts. Thanks!

If the S2000 was made available only to the type of buyer that
you approve of, there probably wouldn't be enough demand
to justify production. Freedom to choose, for whatever reason,
is a good thing. I've had my S2000 for a little over 6 years and
have never wondered why anyone else bought or didn't buy
an S2000.

Why worry so much about what others do and don't?
To begin with, I would not classify owners according to a certain age group; I am sure some 50 year old owners may have better driving skills than me or you. If a 16 year old got spoiled-rotten by his parents; so what?
remember, at the end of the day you picked that car because it rocks your world, you dreamed about it, and that everytime you drive her, she paints that stupid grin on your face; and to that my friend, is what should matter the most!

Maybe it psychological.
Since you have the car you are able to weed them out better??

Well, look at it this way. The more S2k's Honda sells the faster we're going to see the 3rd gen. model, perhaps with V-6 power!
