I say who gives a crap.

As long as this car fits me and my needs, I'm happy.

I doubt her insurance is any cheaper.

There's a big difference between being able to control a car and being able to exercise good judgement. An old pilot saying goes: "The superior pilot uses his superior judgement so he won't have to use his superior skill". I'm sure most 18 year olds with 4000 hours of video game racing and no fear of death could eat my lunch on the track. I'm also sure that a good percentage of them one day will have to watch as a tow truck pulls their car out of a drainage ditch.

It could be worse...you could have a 350Z.
I see about the same amount of Z here as I see our car now.

BTW I own both.

As an older person (just turned 43) I can assure you that there are many of us who take great pride in our cars.
- I am 57 and would hold my car's appearance up against anybody else's car.

My car is a MY 2000. I have been driving it for over 5 years now and while there are certainly more on the road today (vs. 5 years ago) they clearly are not as prevalent as most other cars.

I do agree, however, that not as many S drivers wave/wave back as in the past which kind of sucks.
