Top down in cold weather.
It's funny nobody says anything to a guy on a motorcycle when its 20deg outside but if I'm in my car with the top down at the same temps all I get weird looks and comments at traffic lights.

Wow, you guys are nuts! Recently I saw an older woman driving her RX-7 convertible with top down in 32 degree temps, I was sure she was going through hot flashes! And someone else posted about their plastic rear window cracking, that's reason enough for me not to lower my top when it's cold, (jealosy of those with glass rear windows...).
What is this insanity regarding driving a convertible in extremely low temps? It's a car! It doesn't need the top down to prove anything! Since my daily driver was stolen recently, I've been forced to drive my S in any and all weather conditions, but if it's cold out, you can be damned sure my top will be up! I have nothing to prove, being cold sucks, been there, won't go back.

The thing about the S is that with the high waistline (F1 cockpit), you're pretty well protected in there. I'm much more comfortable in the low temps with the top down in my S than I used to be in my Miata.
In any case, I with Rob... I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks. The blast of fresh, cold air feels great to me. If I get chilled, I roll up the windows and crank the heat. It's surprising how comfy it is. Really. Try it.
I just got back from a 2 hr. blast around back roads in central MA. It's pretty close to freezing.
