my oil level used to go down fast (i'm told the MY2000 F20 uses up oil a lot at VTEC) and i've at one time almost starved the motor goodness gracious!!!, until i experimented on motor oil additives, one of which now keeps the tip of my exhaust pipe clean and soot-free and my oil level stable. yup, thank goodness.

While the car can take what you're doing to it, few motors like to see red line regularly without it causing additional wear. It typically doesn't show up right away, but will start to appear in the form of oil consumption and dirty exhaust. It's blow by and a sign rings are going.

As others have mentioned. Check your oil, run good oil and enjoy. Worst case you rebuild the motor
So yer saying you reply to reads written by 16 year olds. cute.

Just for OP or any of the unfamiliar, their was a revision made in the mid 02 year that increased the oil squirter banjo bolts holes from 2 to 4, to provide added piston squirt/wrist pin cooling when high rpm/low cam engagement driving is done. Premature motor failure was an issue in Europe where cruising speeds/higher sustained rpm running was done. So keep that in mind if you have a pre mid 02 and like to cruise the motor at 5k+ rpms for long intervals. Its recommended to replace/update these. When you are in vtec its fine, the banjo bolts provide enough oil cooling.

Is there a link you can shoot me on this? So is this a just drop pan and replace the bolts?

Thanks!

dadjokes.

In all seriousness, the overall tone of your responses tend to underline and belittle other members. I understand that can be occasional disagreements on a wide variety of subjects on this forum, however it doesn't give anybody the right to "bash".

I would personally try to double check the diction you choose to use on this forum to provide readers with a tone that doesn't induce presumptions of a superiority complex. Otherwise, take advantage of the site's Search Function (pictured below).

Blake: do you seriously feel that the OP is bashing someone? If so, please report the incident and the moderators will review your complaint.

I didn't see any bashing being done by Bliss, but I could have missed it. And it would appear the other two mods here must have too. It's possible though. Maybe "bro" means something in the urban lexicon that is something awful and I haven't learned about it yet. If he really did say something that you found offensive, report it.

Perhaps bashing is the wrong word.. More like a slight level of sarcasm being embedded in the messages. Nothing wrong with that, it can be easily be perceived by others as disrespectful. Initially, other members were concerned about the age of OP for various reasons with the provided evidence, however, OP responded in a very defensive post. Nothing out of the ordinary for S2ki, I suppose.. Back on topic.
