Default Top showing some wear

I took a close look at the top today and noticed three wear spots (one on each the passenger and driver front in the same spot, and one on the passenger rear). I was going to try to make my own fabric patch to put over the wear spots, but I am not sure what adhesive to use so I don't do more harm than good. Anyone done this before that can help out??

I had this same problem - I went to G-street fabrics (yeah I know) and they had something called liquid vinyl which worked pretty well as an adhesive. They also have black vinyl which you can ask for a free sample of to use as a patch =)

I picked up a pice of fabric that looks like it would work pretty well at a local fabric store (I think it is called duck fabric or something like that). It is pretty similar in look to the S2k top fabric, just a bit more plyable. I am thinking that I am going to go with Shoe goo as the adhesive.

With all these cheap tops tearing, we should really organize a group buy.

I was at Bed Bath and Beyond with the wife and came across Mighty Mend it (as seen on TV) . I had to buy it, as a second option to shoe goo. I made some test patches with extra fabric and I have each type of glue drying right now, I will check them out in the a.m. to see which one would be better.
