145mph on 5th gear. Didn't go into 6th gear bc cuz was scared! This was on the 5 north from La to San Jose at around 4 am in the morning. Just don't do it in day time..... Just don't do it at all. 70mph is fast enough for me now

It does not take long to get to those speeds so you don't need that much road.
In the East I-80 in PA is often desolate - except for the deer!!! Don't try it during early morning hours or rutting season. Believe it or not I-77 in SC is often pretty wide open too between Rock Hill and Columbia. And I prefer daylight runs - less chance of animals moving around and, despite radar detector, prefer to see what other cars are lurking. As for being stupid - please - there is no one else around - only a moron would do that in traffic

1968 Camaro SS 396 135(scary!!)
1988 Acura Legend 130
1988 Pontiac Trans Am 130
1997 Accord V-6 Sedan 120
1994 Acrua Legend 6 speed Coupe 145(supposedly had 155 top end - I backed off)
2000 Accord V-6 Sedan 130
2004 Accord V-6 Coupe(auto) 130
2004 S 2000 120 so far!

I rode in a friends Lamborghini Countach and we hit 165 before backing off. Scared the crap out of some poor step van driver we passed on the 4 lane divided highway! Practically sucked him out the door as we passed him with 100MPH+ speed differential!
