Top speed for non-modified s2k?

What about weight?
BTW, there is a video on Honda-Tech of someone topping out 6th gear in an S2000 which is like 172 MPH.

and the video is of an n/a S2000. he gets to 174mph by going down a hill at the end.
There was a whole thread on this a while back. Anybody remember where it is?
A force of any size acting on an object of any weight (in a frictionless vacuum) will accelerate it. How hard it accelerates it depends on the strength of the force and the mass of the object. And it will keep accelerating pretty much indefinitely (untill we start getting into relativity).
But in the real world we have some forces working against acceleration. Friction is one but it is minor in terms of automotive acceleration. The other is wind resistance and it increases with speed. So if you have an object (such as an S2000) accelerated (by and F20C) it will continue to accelerate (whether it accelerates at a high or low rate) until the force of the wind resistance equals the force of the engine.

honetsly i think they kits would fly off prior...
the mounting of the kits i feel is hard to beleive they can withstand that kinda force...
try puttin ur hand out a window at 150
i was in my roomates M3 on the tollroad at 180...insane.

How much difference would a C-west, Mugen, Top secret kit etc... make?
Most of those kits are designed for looks. Any kit that makes a car wider or higher is increasing the area and probably also increase the CoD.
Those that are designed in a wind tunnel are designed to generate downforce for stability at speed. Downforce pretty much always comes at the expense of drag.
Add to that the fact that unless you are replacing existing panel work with lighter stuff you are increasing weight. As shown in this thread, weight won't affect top speed but it will affect how long it takes to reach it. So in the real world or on a track or drag strip the speed at the end of a straight or 400M would be less.
But they look fully sick!
why do people constantly say they've done blah blah mph "STOCK"??? ....
i hope you guys realize it doesn't matter how modified this car is it'll still only do the same top speed which is around 172mph (limited by gears) 157mph or so (limited by drag)...
the only thing a modded car will give you is the ability to reach those speeds quicker...
