Traction control, yes or no.
As we all know, the S2000 is a fabulous car; a pure race car for the street. But, I question Honda's decision not to include electronic traction control. Many of the spins encountered during daily driving might be eliminated, resulting in a car that is safer on public roads, and cheaper insurance rates (these accidents will affect our rates). For performance driving days, we could switch it off.
Plenty of performance cars have traction controll, and it doesn't lessen the appeal of those cars. So, yes or no. What do you think!

for the reasons you have stated, yes, it's a good idea. I would leave it on most of the time and switch it off only when I feel like "driving". THat said, the TCS should be tuned more like the NSX's - that allows more leeway...
Hmm. Personally I like just having the LSD, and a good chassis. My car has just been properly aligned (at~7200 miles) and now the back end is wonderful. It was a handful and uneven side to side prior to the alignment (the car was well out.).
So, I'd vote for no traction control, but Honda insisting on a full alignment as part of PDI. So every S2000 would behave as it should.
Just my 2p

I vote no TC or TC as an option.
I think one of the best things Honda did was make it "affordable" and if they just kept adding more and more technology, the price would not be in the very low 30's.
The alignment issue is a big thing; I'm already trying to see what I can do to get my car checked and brought to specs before I take delivery.

While it wouldn't necesssarily hurt to have it I'm not bothered by the fact that it doesn't. Adding traction control would drive up the price of the car. I also appreciate the fact that this car is optimized as a super high performance sports car and Honda's tunnel vision in creating that is appealing to me.
I have traction control in my other car (see sig) and it has saved me MANY times in the rain. Then again, my other car has over 2 times the torque the S2000 has and can easily break the tires loose without even trying. I personally have never lost traction in the S2000 in dry or wet conditions, but it only takes one time and that could potentially be the end of you and your car. I think it'd be good for Honda to offer it as an option, that way if you only drive you car on nice days you don't have to drop the extra cash on an option you don't need and vice versa for people who use their S2000's as daily drivers.
