Default Trunk lid lock question

Okay, so I bought a new (used) trunk to mount my new wing to and the seller included all the OEM parts on the trunk lid.

So, my question is will my keyless fob unlock the new trunk (I didn't get a key for it) since it has all the hardware on it, or will it not work since my keyless system is for my car. I only have the factory keyless system, not an alarm.

I'm guessing the trunk release inside the secret compartment will also work (I hope) with the new trunk, but I don't know if the key fob will work as well.

I will be swapping trunks off & on for track days, so I'll need the hardware to stay on each trunk as is. So, I'll have 2 trunks that need to be functional.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't see why not, the remote and button release the latch but have nothing to do with the trunk itself.

Yeah, the question is more about the latch itself, not the actual trunk. I just wanted to make sure I could switch out the trunks when I needed/wanted to and that everything would still work, except the keys of course.

I'm not able to look at mine right now (put away for winter) and I couldn't remember what the wiring looms looked like to see how it works.

pretty sure the latch mechanism is in the trunk, but the thing that tells it to release it is not part of the trunk so it should attach to your key fob.

Btw, you should swap out the lock cylinder if psosible..theres been some guys who couldnt open their trunks with the fob due to some installation problems...very bad if you forget to connect the wires OR it fails for some reason.
