Trunk opening itself...
Hello,
upon returning to the car I noticed my trunk being open (trunk open about 10cm's) about 5 times the last year. The only reason I can see is that by putting the carkeys gently in my pocket, the trunk release button is accidentally pressed long enough by something. Anobody else ever had the same 'problem'? I don't even dare to put the keys in my pocket again while being too close to the car... and I do not have special things hanging alongside the carkey
Thx,
Frank.
P.S. Spell check does not seem to work any more

I have the same problem, not with the trunk button but the "lock" button on the FOB. I'll put it in my pocket and as I walk away, you'll hear "beep....beep...beep" til I get out of the remotes range. Seems as though the lock button on mine is so sensitive that you just glide your finger on it and it reacts (kinda like a heat sensitive button on the ipod).
I'll bring mine back to the dealer and see if they can give me a new remote because its getting a little *beep*-ing annoying.

The trunk remote release button needs to be held for about 2 seconds before the trunk will pop. That button is also small and somewhat recessed. What else do you have in your pocket that could push on the button and apply that kind of pressure for that long to do the job until you are out of range?
Accidentally hitting the LOCK button is not uncommon as it is a big button and it shouldn't be such a big deal. It's far better than accidentally hitting the UNLOCK button. However, it shouldn't be that touchy. Maybe you've just got odd stuff in your pocket where you carry the keyfob.

Happens to me all the time as well.. the weird thing is - I never keep anything in my pocket other than the remote and the car key. My house keys are kept seperately in another set, in another pocket.

I've got an aftermarket alarm with remote buttons that are even more easily accessible than the OEM Honda ones. When I'm home and bend to do something while it's in my pocket, I sometimes hear my S chirp at me from the garage. I'm real careful about that when leaving it parked elsewhere until I'm well out of range.
Nothing else in the pocket! I keep the carkeys in a separate pocket! And yes, you have to push it for 2 seconds, I cannot understand why it happened at least 5 times the last 12 months
The first time I thought somebody broke into the trunk
