Default TSB for Clutch just completed...

I just had my clutch replaced on my 2001 S2K, from the TSB. I knew about the TSB, but waited until I had put 25K miles on the car. I've had the car or 2 days now and the clutch is like butter. I also had them change my tranny oil (GM Synchromesh) and the clutch and tranny have never felt better / smoother. If anyone is procrastinating in getting it done...it's worth the small hassel of leaving overnight.

My car feels like new again!!!

Cool! I've already had my clutch done and was considering the tranny fluid too. Maybe I'll have to do that soon.

I've heard you're supposed to change the tranny fluid @ 30,000 miles. The service guy told me if you drive it hard, it wouldn't hurt to change it before then. I had 25K miles and my tranny fluid was a bit dirty. There's a thread on here somewhere recommending GM Synchromesh as the fluid and so I said what the heck. The notchiness is definitely gone and it feels much more smoother. Costs $30 for 3 qts. so why not?

Exactly...why not? Besides...I've had my 2nd gear grind TSB done and it still grinds. I've heard of other using it to eliminate the problem. That...and I'm almost due for my 30K service.

I got my tranny and diff fluid changed at 10K. I also had the TSB done, but it's still making the ringing nosie. I am going to try to get it replaced again.

I think they put the 2002 clutch in mine. So if you got yours done pre-2002 S2K, maybe you could get it done again with the newer clutch.

I had my clutch replaced also. I just got it back today and am having a hard time getting acustomed to the new very very soft clutch pedal. My old clutch pedal was a lot stiffer

I think the TSB was covered by Honda. He prob paid for the fluid change, fluid, and washers.
