Jason, I do think it would be greatly appreciated if you refrain from posting/pushing your S/C beliefs on everyone. Not only is it rude to come in a turbo thread and bash on them, but common courtsey. Just about every post I have seen from you looks just about the same as this one. S/C's are best, buy my stuff.
Just so you know, SC's and Turbos have their own advantage and disadvantages. I used to have a turbo and wouldnt give it up for a SC. played with the SC and for what I was doing, the turbo was the best. And before you go off thinking I know J/S about turbo's, I used to own an MR2 that was pushing 600+ RWHP. No NOS, all turbo.
Thanks
Uhm, I'm well aware superchargers are inferior to turbochargers. However, it seems in the S2k's case, there are alot more success stories with SC than TC. I can only see 1 TC'ed S2k that's produced more power than me, and at three times, or more, of the cost of my setup.
I do afterall, also own a 686 rwhp T78 Supra. ( Bragging. )

Yes, and it is that exact point that I'm trying to get at that urks people. The constant bragging about your Supra, the pushing of your products, the constant SC's are better then Turbo's remarks. I have seen just about every post of yours like that.
I had a 600+ RWHP MR2, you dont see me bragging about it every post. I run a business and you dont see me pushing products that I get that can be used on the S. Not only does it look tacky for a business to do that, but it is quite annoying to read it all the time.
I hope you understand what I am getting at, and hopefully we can see more positive posts from you. Like maybe how can you get a turbo to push the same envelope that a SC can

You know what guys that was the most stupidest answer you guys could ever give me. I mean what the hell is if you dont know stay away. What is wrong with trying to learn. There you go wes I dont know j/s about turbo's so i should stay away and leave it to the masters of turbo who knows eveything like you. Reason? I would be safer huh since i dont know nothing. Well you know everything and still had to go thru all that stuff. Maybe it has nothing to do with what you know its what you want. And how much you want it. By the way Wes next time when you order food at a restaruant make sure that you know how to cook it at home yourself too or understand the amount of salt it needs at the boiling point since it may cause you to spill some of it on yourself while you are eating it. There you go, there is your mentality. The only reason I went, and talked to a shop is because I was curious and the only reason I posted it here is I dont know j/s about turbos and I wanted someone to tell me oh this makes sense or oh no this is total bs. Not like you dont know shit son stay away and and go play at the kids area.
Thank you for missing the point. The point was that at this time, you don't seem ready. Not that you should never consider it, or that you can't comprehend it, but you're not ready. So go get ready. Don't whine...go learn about turbos, about the S2000 turbo setups, and find out as much as you can so that you can be prepared. Your analogy was horrible, here is a better one. Would you recommend that someone with no knowledge of the stock market jump in and start day trading with his life savings?
Jesus, S2KFI, take a valium and reread what Wes had to say. He wasn't telling you to take a hike just because you know nothing about it, he was warning you not to attempt it until you've taken the time to learn it. Wes was at the same point you are now, as we ALL are at one point or another in our lives. What separates those who fail early on and those who have a longer run of success is usually the amount of learning they did beforehand. Ask questions, read material, etc. BEFORE you start collecting parts. And by all means, DON'T take a shops word for it merely because you see them cranking out 2 turbo systems a week.
I have to agree with MacGyver here. I had gone through 3 shops with my Turbo MR2 and spent well over $35k on the rebuilds. All that on a $7500 car!!! Lets just say that I now do my own work and wont be looking at getting a SC or Turbo for a while.
If you do take it to a shop, make sure they are experienced ith the car, and not just turbos. Every car will react differently to boost, and it's all in the prep work and knowledge of the car that will make your car last, and stay driveable.
