Anyone out there had a problem with a side turn repeater lamp coming adrift,(forward end clip feature breakage)causing it to then hang from the aperture by the cable??

Seems I must have "sponged" it into submission whilst cleaning the car - I can`t believe that normal careful washing can fracture any such fixing!

My Dealer in the UK says he knows of no problem but I`m sure I`m not the only owner to have experienced this!

One can`t even apply much pressure from the rear because it`s got a chamfer, to apply sponge pressure from any other direction wouldn`t affect the front clip feature.

I reckon it`s a faulty part - mine was on the RH side (they are handed) and identified as "Stanley P0640 W5W S2A R".

So I`ve had to buy a new one!! Pick it up tomorrow (bet they`ve changed the design).

Is there anyone out there?

Thanks . . (Red/black interior)Collected in Geneva last August, full UK RHD Spec - drove it to Venice and had a brilliant week, returning through Austria, Switzerland and France - bliss!

I had the exact problem last weekend. Just washing my
car gently and the driver side market light just popped out
The front part of the clip broke. The dealer pulled one off
a another car for me. I found out they cost 6.95 a piece. I
think they would be under warranty but quite suprised since
I barely touched it.

that was without tax. my dealer said it is under warrenty
so make them fix it. It was funnt cause i barely touched the thing
and now i paranoid to touch them now. I am going to buy a couple of spares so i dont have to have that
hideous wire hanging out of that hole if it happens again

Interesting it's the right side. When I took the stock ones off to put the smoked ones on the right side clip broke. I didn't do anything different than when removing the left hand side.

Thanks again Thomas, I don`t want to go on about this cost thing - but here in the UK there`s been quite a lot in the Press about out how we`re constantly being "taken for a ride" over prices compared to other members of the EC, and almost all of the rest of the World!

Out of interest just what would the total cost of that part be in $?

Many thanks.
