tweeter@a-pillar question(s)
FRCHNDN,
These are the same A pillars I have. I had them made in Canada at Kromer Radio long before I got the car, but my installer here in the states talked me out of them.
I have to check my records, but I'll sell them to you for what I paid for the pillars and the work for the tweeter mounting.

The work was done by the chain Mobile One. They've done all of my stereo components (see http://www.wesmaster.com ), the same guy has done all the work. The speakers are Diamon Audio component speakers, which cost about $400. The install took a day. I had the guy pop off the pillars and keep them for the day, I picked them up the next day and heinstalled the speakers. The way they are built, as best as I understand, is that a wooden housing is made. The wood goes on the plastic and it is then vynil wrapped, and the cloth grill is added. The tweeter is then insterted and the unit is installed. I paid about $400 for the pillars to be converted for the speakers, it just takes a while to do them. As for sound, they're incredible. All of the sound is now lifted up. Although the midrange speakers are still low, and often behind my leg, the sound appears to all come from ear level...it's much better than I could have expected. I blew 6-8 pairs (all under warranty) of Boston Acoustic 2way speakers before upgrading to these...I can turn these up very loud and they're not being hurt. The speakers come with a crossover for each speaker, these were mounted underneath the dash area, one on each side above the leg area, hidden from view.
