Six seconds. Plus, if you cut the speed sensor wire, you can open and close the top safely at up to 10 mph - ie when you are slowing for a redlight and the rain starts to come in the cabin.

The best free mod ever! I've absolutely enjoyed this one...

I've seen that the Sky top is a PITA. But then I have to let the FD go through a warm up and cool down every time I drive it. So, I didn't think this little hitch in the Sky was a big deal really. Just bad for lazy people. Now I know that in certain situations, it can be a big deal.
But you don't have to pop open your "storage", unlatch your top, get out of your car, pack the top down into the storage, close the storage, and get back into your car to let your FD warm up and/or cool down.

Plus you can get a turbo timer. Can't get one of those for the Sky's top

LOL...I've seen the trunk in the Sky and the guy wasn't far from the mark when he said it holds "a bikini and a toothbrush".

So not only is the top manual, but you have to get in and out of the car twice to take it down/put it up! Mazda MX5 (the dreaded Miyata) can be opened and closed without leaving your seat. Seems like that's a better design...

Is it the fastest opening/closing top of current production cars?

Also, does anyone have a link to instructions for this mod?

You need to "get" yourself the top down without stopping mod. Easily one of the best mods you can do to your S....
