Default Two noises - Crickets and Metal Pinging

Ok,
I've searched and found some statements on these, but no conclusions. Here we go.

Number one is easy. At certain RPMs AND decelerating in third and fourth, I here a noise similar to copper vibrating against a surface. If I push and hold the shifter in that gear, it stops. I'm assuming I have a shifter component vibrating on something. If someone knows what this is, let me know.

Number two is weird. It's the sound of a cricket chirping. It occurs in all gears. It occurs under hard acceleration at around 3000 RPM. It doesn't sound like a belt slipping. It comes from the engine. I've noticed no decrease in performance. It started at about 35,000 miles on my '00. I can't diagnose it because it doesn't happen if I rev the engine parked, it has to be under load.

Any clues to either of these is greatly appreciated!

first is covered in a tsb. It is problem with the clutch. Mine came back after time.

Second is normal, just an engine spinning to 9200 rpm.

No CAI.

Which TSB for the clutch problem? Are TSBs covered out of warranty?

Secondly, if the cricket is normal @ 9200 it occurs @ 3000. I don't get it. I don't remember hearing it before

you know ive done lots of research on this subject, i have a CAI but when i took it out, the noise was still there. until now i still dont know. i think my cricket started a family now. much louder. oh well just tap the gas pedal and wait for the car to acclelerate instead of pressing it in too much.

The cricket problem is common on alot of hondas. I have known a civic and a crx that have had it. Perhaps a wider search across the web would produce results.

So, no one knows the cause of the cricket or whether TSBs are covered out of warranty?

TSB thing depends on whether or not the dealership wants to.

For the cricket thing, I was thinking it's like my crickets. I may have a different species. Could it be a heat shield rattle?
