Why the spike in sales in 2005 I wonder?
Probably due to people were iffy on the new AP2's in 2004 so by the time 2005 rolled by and good reviews were coming in the door bout the AP2;s
sales blew up I guess?

kinda makes sense to me

Nice work. Now what % of those cars have been wrecked or destroyed? 5%? 10%? 15%?

I see that you only show Silverstone Red/Black starting in 2004. Maybe you are trying to correct that. My previous S was a MY00 Silverstone Red/Black. Not accounted for in your stats.

How many were opened like a tin can for their seats or headlights?

Yes, mine was ripped apart, but on a serious note.. Think about how many of our cars have been targeted for the seats, then think about how much the seats are valued at by Honda. Not the street price, but from Honda because they are not sold as complete units, but rather as individual components that must be assembled.. Then add the cost for the roof, and the labor to remove and replace it, and the total is staggering.. So much so that the car gets totaled! Then ask "why is our insurance so high" and then go back to Honda and thank them for being the cause of the problem with all the parts being interchangeable with the Civic and Accord.. It's would be very interesting to see what the stats are on how many S2000's were burglarized for their seats...
