Im confused

Albeit Trips version of events didnt put things in a good light. It was obvious that he had been scammed though, but Trent's "buddies" on this site virtually begged for us to wait it out as this is not his character and there must be a good reason.

Well...it appears it IS his character..and the best reason that has been posted (and this is by Trent himself) is that HE WAS BUSY.

This is what I am confused about - WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE STILL DEFENDING HIM???

Honestly its not helping him anymore..actually its just making it look like you all have poor judgements of character and that *maybe* people should be a little less trusting of your vouches for people in the future.

I know for one if Trent was my friend and I had vouched for him with as much conviction as has been shown - i would be PISSED at the fact that he STILL has done nothing to help this poor guy out.

He doesnt frequent this site - he doesnt care how his name gets tarnished on here so where's his incentive? Maybe he already knows theres not much Trip can do being so far away....whos knows why he did it....but he did and now he should do the honorable things and rectify the situation.

Just wire Trip his money back and let him buy some coilovers from an honest seller.

(sorry - stayed outta this long enough and just had to vent).

Colin when someone scams one of us - they scam all of us. This is after all a community

and did you even bother to read this post by Trent

"Tein Flex Coilovers w/EDFC. I never installed these, they are just sitting in my room looking pretty. With winter coming up and the S2 increasingly just sitting in the garage, I will have no use for these. Brand new, they were $1287 for the Flex and $340 for the EDFC. I want to get rid of these fast, so $1300 and both are yours, it's like getting the EDFC for free. SOLD!!!"

sold means he got the cash - I am sure i don't have to explain what sold means -

and still you defend this thief as if he did nothing wrong?? if he's not a scammer or a theif then please explain why can't he post in defense of himself surely he has access to the internet at Best Buy or better still why don't you pick up your phone and call Trent and ask if about these Alleged allegations as you so eloquently stated but rather you would sit here and doubt the words of the victim

this impacts each and every one on the board

Bass, I really don't understand where you are getting the idea that I'm defending Trent or what he's done in any way. What's bothering me is the near giddiness of people on this board that are so willing to track down Trent and put him at risk to exact whatever "justice" they feel is necessary, when all that is necessary is for Trent to either deliver the coilovers or return the money. Anything beyond that and informing other potential buyers of what's happened is just plain silly.

Day seven since the buyer said the items were to be shipped.

Whoa, hold on there now. If money wasn't exchanged, why would Trent post in this very same thread that he would resolve the issue with Trip? He's being bashed around and he just posted that of all things?
