While my statement may be considered ignorant by you, after reading most of the posts, I would say that the majority seem to agree with me. IMHO, I think it just looks bad when mods "stick up" for sellers especially when the sale (to date) has gone bad.

Either way, this is not about me, you or anyone else in thread except for Trip & s2k1. Lets just hope this gets resolved soon and Trip gets his coilovers
I agree w/ you!

Anything beyond that and informing other potential buyers of what's happened is just plain silly.
There are laws in this country, freedom of speech is one of them. As far as whether or not money was sent to the seller, the seller informed the buyer, as well as the S2KI community that the buyer was indeed shipping the merchandise on the 14th. If the buyer did not send the money, the seller would not ship the merchandise. End of story period! The money has been sent.

If you went out and robbed say, a seven eleven store and got caught, there would be a big fat article in the newspaper with your name in it, not to mention incarceration. This is how things are done in the United States...freedom of speech. As far as people voicing their opinions of this matter, it is their right to do so, as long as they do not violate the terms of S2KI that they agreed upon when they registered for this site. It is also their constitutional right to voice themselves on political, civic or legal issues as long as they don't slander, threaten, release personal information or break any other laws that would pertain to freedom of speech.

Another example, if you went out and got loaded with your friends, then got pulled over on the way home, you would go to jail. Once the local newspaper found out about your arrest, they would print a big FAT article in their newspaper.

The point is, there are a lot of people who buy, sell and trade here on S2KI. By members voicing themselves on issues like the one in this thread, they are protecting others, as well as themselves, from a potential bad experience involving the the loss of money and time.

I read the buyers original thread right after it was posted. I used the search function, and in a matter of minutes, I found the sellers thread. After reading the sellers original post, it had already been over three months since the buyer promised to deliver. Right away, I knew what was going down. It was pretty darn obvious.

I could see this thread coming a mile away.

since when was s2ki.com a court of law OR a newspaper? Providing Trent's screen name along with this thread should be ample info to warn any person with half a brain from doing business with him in the future. As for freedom of speech, you are quite correct in saying that anyone here has a legal right to say whatever they please so long as they follow the forum rules. However, that brings up the ages-old debate of whether people SHOULD post whatever they please...I felt I've explained thoroughly why Trent's personal info should be posted publicly and will not explain this point any further as it will be debated to no end.

This seller hasn't even been added to the BAD GUY SELLERS list yet. Or am I missing something?

Others must be informed of this event and this thread may not be seen by everyone. The BAD GUY thread is there for a reason.

I gotta ask, HOW OLD IS THIS TRENT GUY? Perhaps Trip needs to be speaking to his father? If one of Trent's friends (or accomplices at this point...) will just just PM Trip the information for Trent, maybe he can put a lien on Trent or his family's property.

Because Trent's credibility is now completely shot, a few more questions must be asked - Did he ever have these coilovers? Did he sell them to someone else already?

I have a suspicion that Trent is probably just ignoring these postings, wishing it would just go away. Guys like this tend to do that when the poop hits the fan.

Man this is just shameful at this point. I'm pretty pissed because this situation is starting make me sound like my dad! Sorry for rambling...

To all the folks who spoke positively of S2k1 -

I believe you also have a responsibly to the buyer as he took your word that the seller could be trusted (this shows otherwise)
