Thanks Woodwork. The Insight people have the same problem (probably because they are built int he same factory- i.e. same parts.) I know there was a trick to make it work again, but I can't remember what it was. Some thing about, hold the button, turn the key, repress the button...... something like that.

If they don't, you can at least buy one cheaper than they'll sell it to you

not knocking go fast labs BUT $182.00 to fix the window ????

for $25.00 you could buy the autoloc one touch window unit and fix the problem OR for less than $100.00 you could buy a DEI 530t and have both windows one touch

had the new part put in quite a while ago (probably on the order of a year ago, when this thread was relatively fresh).

need to pull my paperwork and see if i can track down the receipt. i'm going to see if i can get it covered under replacement warranty.
I would have thought it would have shown in the Honda service computor what work was done to your car, and when.

No offense taken but we're just offering the factory replacement part at a discount. Go ask your dealer how much it is

well, normally i keep all my receipts and just need to reference them. generally, it's a factor of how much time i have to go and look it up. and if i don't have time to look it up, calling the dealer for the info is just as unlikely b/c of time.

either or, it's going to be covered under my HondaCare anyway, and the dealer pulled it up for me anyway when i asked...

Oh boy...I know it's been a long time since this topic was discussed, but is there any newer information on this revised window regulator? The driver-side auto-down just started failing on my MY00 this week, so I'm just curious what my options are...

* reset sequence - works only temporarily
* replace part with 72250-S2A-A03 - saw at least one other have this unit fail, too
* remove motor & clean corrosion - possible?
* goodwill repair or part discount - possible this late in the game?
* other?

FWIW, I'm the original owner. Thanks in advance!

As far as I know the latest Honda replacement part (regulator assy) fixed the problem, haven't seen anyone post about the issue since the AP2's came on the market.

Another option is to install Autoloc modules like I did. They give you one touch up and down, I put one on the driver and passenger side of my 2002.

how hard is it to install the Autolocs? Is it as simple as just replacing the factory part (straight bolt-in) or does it require some custom work?

Not a direct replacement. Requires tapping into some of the existing wiring, not too difficult, total time about 30 min worth of work. But then again, Modifry installed them for me so it "looked" easy. All I did was remove and replace the door panels.
