I wouldn't bother. You can buy most of the ap2 interior to transplant into an ap1 for a lot less than it would cost to sell/trade in your old car for an AP2.

Audi TT has the best interior for the price? I think theres a lot of argument on this as well. The interior is decent but I'm sure theres nicer in the $50,000 price range. Bottom line is that the tt isnt a sports car, the s2000 is. The tt is more of a 60yr old mans car that he takes to the golf course or a womans "sports car". I cant see any reason to spend $50,000 on this car. It doesnt handle well, it isnt fast, and its expensive. Not to mention that you cant even get a manual transmission in the lower power models. Youd be better off to get a used cayman with 1,000 miles on it for the same price, atleast youd know where your 50k went. Also, have you ever looked into resale value on an audi? Horrible

For those that still dont know and say the The traction/stability control has an off button. Sounds like you like the body style. I would just change yours then.

New is $73K approx.

Crazy compared to US market around $38K. Even if you do the conversion, it's still far less than what we have to pay here in Australia. Bloody tax.

AP2 here has F20C engine so that translates to 9K RPM for the 08 model.

I am overwhelmed with the number of feedback to be honest.

A great community indeed.
If it has the same motor, it seems that it would really be a huge waste to do the upgrade.

The only reason that I'd see to make it worth it is if the body on your current car wasn't that great, or just overall general condition. But the additions of the AP2 sans 2.2L engine are just not worth the addition.

Warranty shouldn't be that big of a deal. These cars don't just break themselves.

Wow, and we think it's expensive here in Canada.

How long do you plan to keep the car? If you plan to keep it for a loooong time, it may be worth getting a newer one. That being said, a lot of people have high mileage on their AP1 and their cars seem to run fine still.
I think if he's keeping it a long time, it's even more of a reason to keep the older car.

Keep them both in great condition, and in the long run, they'll be worth about the same, and in very close condition.

It's like my old Integra. It was in better condition when I just sold it than when I just bought it at 14 years old. My friend bought his Civic new. It was awesome to be new for a couple of years, but after that, no one cared, and in the long run, the older car was the same (or in this case) much better.

2003, I'd keep it, like someone said if you want the revised interior you can easily do a swap.

I just hit 48K on my 03 and am considering selling mine...and I would look for an 08/09 GPW again...and then thought how fast I'd get tired of a "new" car that was basically the same as the one I have now!

But I still have the new car bug and it's itching pretty bad.

Yep, it seems that S2K is 'the one' for me.

I had 05 Integra Type-S (Acura RSX Type-S for US) and as much as I liked it, it didn't get to the point of full satisfaction when you're driving it. Sold it after a year or so and that's when I took a seat in the S2K.

Will be keeping this car for long time to come that's why I'm considering of having a newer model as might as well since going to keep it.

But Artric has a good point there that makes me think twice now.
