Heads coming off tomorrow, also going to order parts from honda. Going to order 4 valves and 4 retainers just in case. What else do i need to order? Is there anything else i should replace at this time while the head is off?

Also do you guys think cylinder #1 could also have some damage, since it goes up the same time #4 does, cylinder #1 had a compression of 210 psi.

Gasket set and spark plug well gaskets.

Watch for scoring of your cylinder.

And be more careful shifting.

Might as well get a thinner headgasket to raise the compression a bit.

ok the head is off, the valves dont have any visual damage but piston #4 has one mark on it, looks like it hit the left exhaust valve. i ordered 4 valves from honda, and im taking the head to a machine shop monday.

do i use hondabond or some kind of silicone to seal the head with the head gasket when i put it back together? my mechanic said to get some kind of sealant but the guy selling me the parts at honda told me not to use hondabond on the head.

Might also consider installing a Hondata intake manifold gasket too...does help with heat soak especially in Florida.
