bought my 2k s2000 for about 20k flat.. it had 17k miles... all the 2k s2000's in my area were selling for around 19-22k, but w/ 40k+ mileage.. This was in the tampa bay area, so i dont know... I think its hard to find a low mileage 2000 s2000,lol nowadays... but yea, i guess it depends on the area.... Being a private seller, u should b able to knock it down a thousand or 2... good luck!

That doesn't seem like a bad price to me. In general, when it comes to the S2000, I think mileage is going to be a better indicator of fair price than model year. Good luck.

I agree.. I picked up my MY00 with 32k miles for $18.5k
Car was in Excellent condition, they kept all the orginal stuff and records. I have a pack about 1 and a half thick full of papers. TSB were done, it was the color i wanted. CLEANEST S2k in So Cal for the price. Plus in a few years it will be close to the cars for sale with 60K+ Mileage is closer to the cars life, not MY. Then again i still want that glass back.

Sounds like an OK price. Mileage is right and if it's extra clean someone babied it and only drove it on weekend cruises more than likely unless they had a really really short commute. If it's clean and well taken care of it's a fair price I say.

Price seems ok.You may want to check and make sure you can handle the insurance, since you said you were straped for cash-don't forget your going to need tires after you burn through the set on it now. It's just inevitable that you will have incidental's you don't expect.
