dsp is my initials, as well as one of my nicknames. "$" is how i sign e-mails and initial documents, which is a superposition of the letters d, s, and p. oh dsp looks the same upside down.

despotic is my other nickname, but it doesn't make for a friendly username.

Man talk about raising the dead. But I'll play along..
I first hit the internet when me and a friend got into playing the new Mortal Kombat arcade game and we went around looking for moves. I used Scorpion as my name on message boards and IRC since it was my primary game character. I changed the C to a K later because I was running into too much conflict with other Scorpions.

ok, i've been asked a few times by several local s2000 friends so here it is:

YU= derived from my last name
888= "8"s are lucky numbers to superstitious Chinese folk. While I am not superstitious, I picked up the handle on AOL way back when and so it stuck. "8" rhymes with a chinese word that means "to prosper" so I figured it couldn;t hurt right?

<--- Use your imagination.
Seriously, it was given to me because of the local street races. People used to say "Damn, look at him Spank that other car!" so hence the name "Spanky"

That was with my previous cars: (modded) Acura Integra Gs-R, or the 87' Porsche 930 Turbo.

Now I have the s2k, I don't attend the local street races, just street encounters or just taking it up the windy mountains, and the name still suits me.

I've been doing high-speed driving schools with the BMW CCA for over 10 years. I have been pounding around the track beating up on BMWs, Porsches, Ferraris, Mustangs, Vipers, RX-7s etc. My little CRX-Si gets passed on most of the straights but under braking and through the corners, I just reel them in and go on bye. When you consider the silly little CRX has been torturing cars costing much more and you consider my last name - Hood, you get the picture.
