Default Vented hood

I have some questions for those of you guys with vented hood. I daily drive my S, and about to make a purchase on TopSecret hood. I'm wondering how this set up will stand against sitting outside, rain, snow, etc.. I have comptech intake and the design does not expose the filter, however I'm concerning water getting into the engine bay, soaking up the filter, or messing up the engine components.

Any thoughts appreciated!

as long as your filter is covered I wouldn't worry about the rest of the engine bay. it's not like the bottom of your bay is sealed, I have vents up the passenger side and haven't noticed any ill effects from the vents.

If you need more assurance, search vented hoods and there are 847363748918138 threads about it. Good luck!

I have a genuine J's Racing Type V, similar to the Mugen SS, both have rain channels. So when it rains, even when the car is stationary, the engine bay does not get wet.
