Vented hood problem?

Are there any drawbacks to having a vented hood?
Especially in like wet conditions?
Rain, car wash etc...

Nah, your engine bay may get a little more dirty through time but nothing serious.

During rain/carwashes does the water fall on anything important in the engine bay say with a J's hood?

It would fall right on your air box or if you don't have one, on your cross member.

Still no worries, I hose my engine bay all the time.
