One must be very careful about buying used side strakes. Like I said before, taking them off usually destroys the clips because they are snap fit - one way in and no way out. The part that is in the holes in the car usually stay in the car or get completely destroyed when pulled out. Or the part on the back side of the strake itself is broken when the strake comes off. These parts are not available from Honda individually. The underside clip is "like" one of those things you install in a wall to hang a picture. You drill the hole, insert the clip and turn the screw. As the screw turns, a metal piece gets pulled and flares out behind the wall. You'd never get that part out without making a huge hole in the wall or destroying the clip, so most people who remove side strakes just leave that part on the car. It's an easy fix as you simply get the same thing that you use to hang pictures on the wall. The side one, however, is not so easy. It's some kind of goofy, plastic gizmo that has little "fish hook" flanges on it.

Maybe this is one reason why used ones are so cheap. The buyer still ends up with an expensive set of plastic with few easy ways to mount them.
