No oil leak, the bolt is not tight, I had to drain the oil to remove the head, and never did tighten it fully. The oil at the filter is not from the filter, but rather from where the vtech unit leaked when I removed it. Beta version did not fit, the measurements were off. The only one I have that is right is this one. Since the program is ready though, I can run more of theese whenever. As far as install this could not be easier, it is only four bolts. All that is involved is jacking up the car on both sides so that the chasis is even, remove the four factory bolts, then put the brace on with the supplied replacement bolts. Torque and lower the car. DRIVE!! Utah, please shoot me an e-mail in response to the one I sent you earlier
Thanks
Mark

To answer Utah's concern
The anodized brace will be sanded, to smooth machine marks then anodized, while the Powdercoated braces will be bead blasted first then coated.
Hope this helps

I really like the finish. It looks like just one piece. Very nice.

It also looks light. How much does it weigh?

Tim
To clarify it IS one peice, milled from one solid peice of T6 heat treated 6061 AL. The weight is 5 pounds.
Any other questions/ comments are needed
Thanks
Also I am wondering what the price needs to be for people to purchase in the first group buy. IE What are you expecting the price to be? From there I can tell based on the number made weather or not it will be feasable to do.

This is truly one sweet piece. I'd guess that people would be willing to pay $200-$300 for one. Isn't that around the price of the Spoon brace anyways?

Wow! That is one beutiful peice of equipment. Maybe a bit overkill for this application, but it looks awsome (and expensive).

I think the Spoon is about 200 or so (mabey less in a GB). The testing will begin this week end and I should have a good idea as to price as well as performance (butt_o_meter) by then. I will not be doing the testing, it will be done by an independant person who had to PAY for their brace (more than future owners will pay because of small run). I made the person pay so that they can remain objective in their testing, as opposed to donating one and getting the biased rave reviews. After testinf I will be looking looking for people interested in being the first to own, the price will be lower if we can get more people, so please PM or post with intrest and what you expect the price to REALISTICLY be, then I can work on getting us there. I want to get the price lower (than regular retail) for the first batch of 20 to 30 people so that I can get some of these out to S2K owners. I am working with a distributor that sponsors this board, (who will remain un named until this person feels the need to disclose info) that will be the outlet for the brace.
Once again THANKS!!
Mark

The spoon bar is hollow, yours looks to be solid...

What are the pros and cons of the different designs?
