That was redundant and repetitious.

What about, "Over the skies of New York, there was a 'near-miss' this afternoon as two airliners came dangerously close."

They almost missed but in the last seconds the pilots were able to turn one plane into the other.

That's a little redundant, Barry, but mostly just poor use of English. The dang language is so ambiguous!

E.g., if I had my druthers I'd turn into a prince, not a plane.

Have a look in the FAQ (frequently asked questions) section of the library tab. An explanation of the VIN is contained within.
Hmm.. I'm a newbie... where's the FAQ section? Under Forum? where's teh library tab? Thanks! (I'm also looking to learn more about the VIN numbers.)

Gee, I have no idea anymore, NSX. Good question. I can't find the library in the latest version of our s2ki site.

There is a FAQ for this forum (S2000 Talk), https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=154011, which is pretty good...

For example, the VIN number for an individual's car on the board is: JHMAP114G1T000288- This breaks down to the following:

J HM Japan/Honda (WMI)
AP1 S2000/F20C1
1 2-dr Convertible 6-speed manual
4 Base Model
G (check digit)
Y 2000 (year) (1= 2001)
T Tochigi (plant)
000288 sequential number (the build number)

I pasted above the definition from the library. But I do not know what it means "check digit" I should check the digit...but what does that digit/number mean??? The below listed are VIN numbers without the last 4 numbers. As you can see my inquiry is as to the middle after the "11" In the first set it is "41" in the second set it is "43" In the last set it is "4X" According to the definition this is the "check digit" what is that? The "3" that comes after this is model year, i.e. 2003.

JHMAP11413T00
JHMAP11433T00
JHMAP114X3T00
How could this VIN be deciphered - 6U90000AP11000158 ?

Justified,

Hmm... Are you saying that's coming off an S2000? Is that the VIN you can see at the base of the windshield on the metal plate? That certainly doesn't look like an S2000 VIN, unless HOnda changed things recently.

Are you in NZ?

yeah, thats the VIN that's engraved on the back firewall in the engine bay of an S2000. It's from a jdm s2000 though. Not sure if that would make any difference?!

Just wondering which year model that VIN indicates. I'm guessing 2000?

But I do find it strange that it isnt in the form JHM......
