Anti-Seize would be the opposite of what you want I would think. That is used on external applications where you are afraid of the threads locking up due to corrosion, rust, or heat bonding (exhaust bolts, spark plugs, etc...) You certainly don't have a problem with any of that on your shift knob. VERY useful stuff but not on this.

Loc-tite (brand name) will not permanently "glue" your object but will provide enough resistance to vibration that it won't back itself off so easily. If anything at all this is what you want, but only a drop or so, and personally I don't think you need that unless you have a shift pattern as mentioned above.

Both should be available at any local hardware or auto parts stores.

okay, as i mentioned earlier, i'm not using the shift pattern knob, so i guess I'll just tank with no adhesive. I dont want it to be a pain in the ass to get off should i ever need to take it off, but at the same time i dont want it to come off lol i'l go el-natural
