Default VSA and Engine warning light - no power

My 06 got the dreaded dash board measels and a top tear behind the passanger seat. So as my warranty is up soon I decided to have the dash and top replaced. No rattles in the dash or leaks in the new roof but 2 days later the engine warning light and the VSA light come on and the engine is sooo sluggish. Max speed in second is 18 mph. In third gear it tries to stall. I guess I will have to have the dealer pick it up on a flat bed. Any thoughts on the cause? Having the dash replaced I would guess it has something to do with that - sensor maybe? The car is stock and never raced.
Thanks for any opinions that might ease my mind before monday!!!

Turned out to be a loose connection in the electronic throttle. Up and running again.
