My power completely shuts down around 8000rpm, I think a little over. When I rev the engine, the power keeps increasing until I get to a little over 8K rpm and then it's like I hit a brick wall.
This is what seems to be happening to me! I never noticed it before. But perhaps it is an illusion due to the smoother VTEC engagement/Powerband?

Check your oil level, also read the map whack info in UTH.

I did the map whack and reset my ecu. The car at lower RPM's seems a lot smoother. DOn't know about VTEC yet. One thing that I noticed also is that the car almost stalls when I stop at a light or something. I am assuming that this is due to the ECU?

yes, the car will stall at stops now for a while, the ECU has to relearn now, dont help it out. if it stalls let it stall, this will speed up the process in which it learns. also you wont be able to hit VTEC for a while after you reset the ECU.

hopefully this has solved your problem

How long approximately? I just noticed that I have pretty much no VTEC. I have driven about forty miles today but most of that being on the street and of course out of VTEC. I just drove the car a few minutes ago and gunned it once the car was warm and yeah pretty much no VTEC.

I appreciate your help!

Air filter is brand new. I just changed it about a week ago.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
