VTEC time......SVT Contour is my first victim
Well, I have 600 miles and I opened it up for the first time. Wow.
A very good friend of mine has a SVT Contour (2000) and we tested the S from 65 to about 90 mph (on an open road). It was so easy beating him. We were both shocked.
Next we tried from a about 10mph roll. We both jumped on it and and he took a car length lead instantly. His car has so much torque compared to the S. But the best part was as soon as I hit my powerband I roped him in and cruised right past him. I could never do that with my Del Sol VTEC. I was never even close with my Del Sol VTEC. This car is awesome, and to think it will only get stronger as the miles rack up.
I am very happy with my purchase.

That car is heavier and has less horsepower, (and about the same torque rating) not much of a contest. But lay out a tight auto-x course and run against him and it will be much closer.. it is a different kind of car.. so see who can get three passengers down the road faster, or carry several eight foot boards (I used to have one and it is a pretty versatile car for 20K).
