Alan, they are a collision repair center so I'm not sure how much "custom" work they do but they are a full service paint and body shop.

wow... thanks for all the replies guys.

went around for estimates already. Gwinnett Honda came back with $700, Classic Collision went to $1800 , and I'll check a few more places tomorrow.

Long story short, I live on Webb Gin House Rd for you ATL ppl, and was getting on Ronald Reagan Pkwy heading to Duluth. Now I've always VTEC'd at that point from which the car just let go at abt 50+mph, 7000 rpm (last I remember). Just as I recovered, I heard a thump/thunk (didn't feel it at all).... the wet grass didn't help

Let's see... the left rear body panel needs to be realigned, flex agent around the tail lamp housing, rear bumper cover, bumper cover clips, and abt 6 hours of labor. They couldn't tell about the impact absorber or the reinforcement. Kept saying they had to take the bumper cover off and only then they'll know.

pikkashoe, how much is the impact absorber and the reinforcement? Is it a big deal to replace these items? Just trying to determine the severity of what I did if those things need to be changed....

I've got pics if anyone's interested. PM me. Thanks for all the info! I'll make sure to check out those other places.

just to be safe i'd take it to a reputable repair shop and have them take the car apart a bit (rear) to see if there's any non-cosmetic damage.......

yes... definitely learned my lesson

just spoke to the estimator and he said that there is an impact absorber in the bumper (which is no big deal), and the S2000 has a short reinforcement so chances are that it may have missed any damage (since I smacked spot on onto the rear left corner).

but if it was a direct impact, there could have been slight damage to the unibody, frame rails, blah blah blah.... that was when I zoned out and the heartbeat started rising...

ah well. the trials and tribulations of driving the S....
