Wanna do something really daring? S-2000 and snow!
I've owned a couple of BMWs of various generations and my previous car was a Nissan 200SX turbo, all RWD, and i must say that with proper winter tires the S2000 beats them all hands down when it comes to handling in the wet as well as in snow. With the perfect weight distribution, steering response and the feedback you get it's very drivable in poor conditions. IMHO, what gives people the impression it is bad is the contrast with how extremely good the S2000 is on a dry road with summer tires. Relative to others cars you just have to slow down a bit more when there is less grip! Try entering a corner with S2000 speed in your other car now and then so you refresh that reference point!

If you're going to drive in the snow, make the investment in Blizzaks or something similar. (You'll actually save money since they cost less than the S02s you won't be using up while the Blizzaks are on!) And then be gentle with the car. You'll do fine.
