Thumbs up Warranty

When does the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty start "counting"? Does the 3 year period start when the car is originally purchased, at the beginning of the model year, or at the end of the model year? I'm looking at a 2003 with low mileage and was curious to find out exactally how much time I'd have left.

Sorry for the stupid question, I'm not sure how to go about looking it up and I figured some of you could give me a quick answer. Thanks for your help.

Scott

It starts the day the car goes into service. (rolls out of the dealership)
