Prancing Horse i appreciate you taking the time to write something as kind as that. You words and everyone else's on this board have gave me an entire different perspective about happiness, school, and life itself. I never intended this posts to erupt the way it did but the more I think about it the better off I am that it did. I am truly sorry to hear about the mishap you had with your Cobra. It is a miracle that you survied and it is a blessing that you were given a second chance to realize your mistake and learn from it. I have had some experiences in the S2000 were control was lost and I just think back on those times to keep me in line and hopefully with common sense I could avoid a serious accident. Of course there is more to life than cars and I am seriously going to try and contribute to society in more ways than I have in the past. I enrolled in the AP Course at my school and I would really like to go to college and some day become a Mechanical Engineer. So my goals are set and hopefully accomplishing them will make my parents happy and most important, make me happy. Thanks for the reply Prancing Horse and good luck in everything you try to accomplish.

You can't ignore the age thing because only someone immature would bring up a topic like this. More than 10 years ago when I was 16, I was just like you, and wanted a cool car to differentiate myself. The "in" cars were the turbo Saab 900s and BMWs. Having to show everyone up, I got my hands on a 9000 turbo. Thinking back on it, that was ridiculous because I drove a better car than both my parents at the time.

Nowadays, I wouldn't care at all if I saw another S in my parking lot. I own my S because it's fun to drive and I don't care how rare it is or if I impress anyone else. Prancing Horse has an excellent point, when you're 30, you'll be wondering why you brought up this topic in the first place.

Oh, and like Prancing Horse, I too almost killed myself as a teenager. I spun 3 times going 120mph through a turn. Fortunately, I only bent a rim and didn't hit anything. I think that might have had sometime to do with my obsession with perfecting my driving skills and racing (legally sanctioned of course )

Prancing Horse - Thanks for the kind words, but I have to confess that after reading Overdrive's post I realise I could have got the same message across with a whole lot less antagonism.

Blk01S2k - I think I under estimated you. After all the grief this thread (including my posts) has put you through you've shown a level of maturity many could learn from. Best of luck.

Aus - Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate your advice even if you have a not-so-friendly way of explaining it. j/k.. really though, thanks

Trackman - I actually said (and explained a second time) that the whole NSX bit was just for "giggles" and I think many of us are known as the girl or guy "with the s2000"... it's just something that comes along with having a great car thats noticable. I'm sure at one time or another you and friends were talking and refered to somone as "oh ive seen that guy with the lamborghini".. same concept, different car ....I do not rely on my car to differentiate myself. I have many friends and I have had these friends for years... my car hasnt made me more or less popular, and i dont expect it to. And I dont think that only somone immature would bring up a topic like this. If someone such as Rick Hesel or S2K Fan or Cedric (real contributors to s2ki) would have started a thread such as "I pulled into my office parking lot and there was a silver s2000 parked right in my spot... i was shocked... it also had some distastful rims for my liking." than i think everyone would have replied in a total different way. however, this does come with the turf of being young. i agree with your entire post however calling me immature after giving a good argument and conversation to many people on this board is a little shallow. i guess thats your two cents and i should respect that. thanks for the reply.

Well First off you aren't the one that copied the guy.. so chill no biggie.. he's gonna be the one known as a biter.. and ANYWHO.. I sorta relate with someone else posts.. Just fresh out of high school (Now I love RX-7's, can't wait for the RX-8 to come out) I had a 2nd Gen convertible and my bro a 2nd gen hard top... Now The guy across the street from me drove this Honda Civic and one day out of the blue my mom goes you will not beleive the car the guy across the street got.. and it's this little kid thats like 17 yrs old that dogged his civic out and crash lord knows how many times.. Well the little fudger had the car i dreamed about a 3rd gen RX-7.. So hey i totally relate.. but now I am loving life in my S2K... and everyone who doubted.

I can't believe I'm even seeing this thread on this board....almost speachless. I've been on this board since 12/99 and have read a lot of meaningless posts, but this hits a new low. Time to start a new board again. I'm with you AusS2000. I have a 15 year old son, and now I realize how thankful I should be that he has grown up realizing that "who's in your parking place", "or sombody copied me" aren't such tragic events in life. Blk01S2k, my guess is that someday you'll grow out of this. Let's hope.

first of all i want everyone to stop attacking this kid. If any of you had the ability to give your kids something that they really wanted, you would because you want your kids to be happy. I sence some jelousy on this board.

I didn't even have a car till I was a junior in college.
(1972 Volkswagen squareback). But I can certainly say that he has a pointand I'm sure his problem is one we wish we all had. Anyway, Don't race to prove a point, especially an inexperienced driver of the S2000. Tell him to join the board but advise him that your user name is taken. Good luck with the car. Make Thunder!
