Default What alarm should i buy???

Hey guys, i need some help on what alarm i should buy. I have the factory alarm on my car rite now & was wanting to upgrade to a better/ safer one. There have been a few convertible haters out there lately. I have had a few friends who have had their covertible tops slashed. Jealous of the S i guess? Please let me know what kind of alarm you have, the price & tell if you like it or not. I am looking for a motion sensor type & with a keyless entry & trunk release. Also a price range that will not kill my wallet Thanks!

You should get a CompuStar. It has 2 way paging system that will let you know that your car is being broken into.

In my opinion, there's nothing to do to stop someone from slashing your top. Alarms are great, but if someone's out there for vandalism purposes, an alarm is not a preemptive deterrent. However, I think alarms are good for theft purposes. But my theory has always been, that's what insurance is for. You just spend a lot of money on an alarm or you could save that money for your deductible when you find out the alarm doesn't stop anybody.

Clifford Concept 600... don't install the auto headlight vision thing because of the HID's, the auto windows rollup (honda doesn't recomend it), and make sure you get the smart siren 4 chip.. just in case they cut your battery wire (the siren still goes off)

second the clifford concept 600.

however... i LOVE the auto windows rollup. everytime i raise the top, the windows go down. then i just get out, hit the lock button, and the doors lock, alarm activates, and the windows roll back up!

i hated the auto headlight and turned that off. very annoying.

and i also got the battery back up/remote siren in case they cut my battery wire. goodluck!

Proximity Sensor is a must! I would look at Viper or Alpine. Probably the best mod you will ever put on your car!

i'm having one made now where my top will go up or down ( unlatched) and then window roll up. Legal remote start that will first detect if car is in get or not, and all the oter good stuff. Proximity, lcd pager, tilt, backup battery,...... The Alpine has the best proximity unit. And i'm not really familiar with everything else, but i have a crime stopper on my old CRX and am very happy with it.
