What all is needed with VAFC-II?
[QUOTE=kayvan_pour,Jan 13 2006, 12:22 AM]WTF are you talking about... Again you people are basing your claims on what you have heard??? Who are these people who says this and that about the car??? All you guys do is quote nay sayers because its alot more easy to be negative than positive. And the funny things you guys don't have any hands on expreience... Your just another ricer.
But you said it still works, it just resets itself. We all know it resets itself. But how long does this reset take? Cant you just reset the ecu? If a dyno gets gains, then it is obvious you have gained some performance. The real question is, how long until the ecu resets all this back to normal, whether or not you can just reset your ecu and have the same effects as before, etc. We all know people gain hp from the vafc. Just need to know if you are able to keep that performance. I'm not arguing, or disagreeing with anyone, just trying to become more educated on the subject before I go waste my money on dyno tuning!

would a newer ecu ie. 2003 help or
should i just a Hondata system?
Explain on the WOT subject. So in normal driving the ecu will just fix itself, no biggie. But once you get on it the vafc will still be effective? I don't understand. What does WOT have anything to do with it?
Also, I am still confused about pulling the fuse. I know you are talking about the fuse that will reset the ecu every time you start your car. But is that not a bad thing? Don't you want your ecu to get situated. Won't you have messed up idling and such every time you start your car?

.... I'm sure you do have alot more knowledge than me on almost all car subjects. But tuning and mods I have alot of knowledge also.... ....
now that's funny - I am SURE scott has forgotten more about mods & tuning that you and i will EVER know
AFAIK, the ECU runs in an open loop at a certain throttle input (80%-WOT) meaning it will not adjust itself noticably which includes long term, however in closed loop (daily driving) it will try to readjust itself. Here are some links on the subject:

As stated in the second link I posted, you could make the VAFC only change the a/f after 80%+ throttle.
