[QUOTE=24s2k7,Jan 12 2006, 05:46 PM] kayvan, you said earlier that you can just take out the fuse for your ecu to fix it from reseting itself.

you can pull the fuse to reset the ecu but it will re-learn any adjustments made by a vafc - honestly i don't know anything about this from what i saw - the real genious will step up shortly

Hi Guys I don't have a VAFC but mods included Comptech intake and exhaust on the said DYNO day. I posted 211.3HP

Well spending around $1500 for 10~12hp doesn't seem like the logical way to put HP. But we all know here that mods don't add big HP.

I have a Comptech Header waiting to be put on sometime. Maybe I'll put it on for the next DYNO run at the Noreaster meet. Not sure how much more i'll get but probably only gain like 3hp if not lose any.

So what does a VAFC cost and how much HP do you really get out of it? Hmm I guess I'll wait for g-s2k or giles offer their opinions after they tuned Lukes 04 with a VAFC. Probably not worth it.

Save your money and get Gears or go FI!

I do agree there are some gains to be made but I think I am saving my money for SC next.

I think it was great thread... Just because there was arguing doesn't mean it was bad. i'm sure alot people searching for vafc info will look at this thread and see two points of view, dyno charts and good knowledge from both sides. Don't be such a pussy and get mad because there is arguing, there is alot of great information in this thread.

And in case any body wants to tune there vafc before a pro does it. These are some safe settings that should help you out.
