well i got my s2k when i was only 21, so around my circle of friends and girls we hang out with (18-23 yr olds) its pretty much the nicest car anyone has unless their driving their parents 3 series or IS300 (which don't really stand out as a cool car anymore here in seattle since there's so many of em).

So i guess the s2k has bling factor for me. I get random compliments about it from people in grocery stores, at stoplights (seems everyone wants to roll down their window and talk when I have my top down on a sunny day at a stoplight), and when I go out to bars in the college parts of town.

But when I bring out my s2k to ritzier places in town and all you see is 7 series BMW's on 20's and Escalade trucks on 24's all night, then it looses that "bling status" even though it is one of only few s2ks in the area that you would see.

So it all depends on who is in your social circle to determine bling status. All i know is I love my car, its fun to drive, it looks awesome, and I get lots of props from people on a consistent basis for it.

I often hear: "Awwww I liked your silver car better" (it was a BMW 3-series) from women. If you want to attract women with a car there are few emblems more recognizable to them then the white/blue Bavarian flag.

But the S2000 is a driver's car... you get satisfaction YOURSELF out of it. Who cares what anyone else thinks? You don't buy a Honda for bling factor

You can solve the problem by getting a 4-door bling car and having the S2000 as a weekend driver

as people have already mentioned, the s2000 is all about driving experience. i do admit that i absolutely love how the s2000 looks but the test drive is what sold me. btw it has a honda badge, there is no prestige other than the rich honda racing history that is affiliated with this car.

Exotic cars are about style, beauty, and class, not that many of the people who own them have any class themselves due to the nefarious nature of attaining wealth today. "Bling" is just a ghetto display of flamboyant homosexuality.

Class is being noticed in a positive way without advertising. "Bling" is being so insecure with yourself that you endeavor to stick out like a sore thumb in the most obnoxiously annoying fashion just to get someone to look at you.

The S2000 has a moderate amount of beauty, style, and class. It has very little, if any, "bling," and that is a good thing.

i honestly dont think theres anything "bling" about the car... bling is usually associated with ghetto cars/suvs with da spinnas..

please dont use that word to describe my car again.

thank you everyone for your input. however, i think i posed the question incorrectly. i never questioned the s2k's "bling."

the fact is that many people DO spend tons of money on ritzy cars. i'm asking what real world benefits do they get that others do not. having an expensive, prestigious car gets you BLANK. please fill in the BLANK

thnx
