what is bling factor actually worth?
With an expensive car comes prestige.
It's like a symbol to the rest of society that you have made it. Women/men/children are attracted to this because they know you are obviously good at SOMETHING which made it possible to get the nice car.
You are asserting your spot on the food chain by showing up in a nicer car then the guy next to you. A lot of people will scoff at that comment but in our competitive capitalist society I believe it's the truth.
Our S2000s are no slouch in the "prestige" department by the way... the car commands a lot of respect and admiration from all sorts of people.

"Bling" is just a ghetto display of flamboyant homosexuality.
You get attention, and in my case, 99% of it is unwanted.

I already stated my opinion on driving one of these cars, but will do it again. It's not the greatest if you don't like the attention, and unfortunatly for me, this was the only car that was available to me during the weekend (poor me
).
I was getting some coffee with a buddy and probably sat about... 25-30 yards away from the car, I was worried that someone would scratch it, bump it, etc, and not for one second did my eyes leave the car's area. Now, we stayed there for quite a long while, and when it came time to leave, a whole new crowd was there just gawking at the car. Imagine a 18 year old looking Asian (Japanese) kid (I'm really 23) climbing into something like this... 2 middle aged yentas I guess looking for something to do that night start trying to talk it up with me while I'm trying to pull out, making a big deal that "I'm spoiled," blah, blah, blah, being very loud, obnoxious, and of course attracting attention from everyone around us. I hated every second of it. I should have just revved ths shit out of the engine (thus attracting more) to drown out their noise and got out.
If you're not like me, you'll like the attention, as people drive by you and take pictures, cheap women try to talk it up with you for all the wrong reasons, people will point and stare, they'll hate on you, try to cut you off or throw things, etc, whatever.
I had the pleasure of taking out this as well all last week.

This car... This is that 1% of the attention I like, from car/driving enthusiasts, and especially KIDS. In my opinion, when you have a kid point and yell about that "cool looking car" and get the parents attention and even they give you a thumbs up, I like that. When people actually come up to you and ask questions about the car (and not just about the "bling factor"), how it drives, handles, grips, brakes, feels, etc, thats what I like! NO ONE came up to ask me technical questions about the GT, and if anything, they were comments like "it looks like the batmobile," or "how many women have you picked up in that?" God...
The Honda? It's just like the Elise, but less attention! It's great! I even get older people (in their 70's-80's) telling me it's nice car.
In the end though, it's how YOU feel about the car, and it's all about the driver, not the car... I'm wondering how many of the women smilling at me while I was driving the GT around were really smiling at the car, not ME. Hell, I'll honestly say this at the risk of getting flamed from everyone, but I feel 10x better in my 1990 Miata then I do in the Honda... Why? Because I'm just so much more comfortable in it than anything else!
Hope this helps.

what does driving an expensive car really bring you? does driving a porsche/SL etc mean you make more friends? get hook ups? women flock to you? people just turning their heads to look at you? what do you think the bottom line is? do s2k owners really lose out by not owning something more prestigious?
thanks
thanks
Besides, having a Porsche/SL doesn't necessarily mean that you'll have 'better' friends, they might even be worse (i.e. take advantage of you), and the chicks that will hook up with you might be 'shallow' if they only go out with you because of the car...
Just my two cents
For me there is no bling on the outside .It's under the hood were it all starts .We all know the long list of some very special treatments our
4 cyl has .From being had made to most hp per cyl .Of course i have added (bling)to the car inside and out but for for me not others .
The best bling to add is to have billman from metro take car of it .
