Drove my car 389 miles home from Spring Fling in rain the whole time. I averaged 30 mpg!

Installed new exhaust (EVS 70-SSP) sounds great, and much lighter than my old 70mm single.

Installed new AP2 tail lights i am testing for my friends company. They are OEM style, but the turn signal and reverse are full built in LED.

Built the harness for my auto-dimming mirror, run it up the A-pillar up to the mirror area. Routed the microphone as well.

Pulled down the stock mirror and mount. Heat gun, adhesive remover and a plumbing wrench (gentle twisting motion) got the mounting button clean off. Now to get a wedge mount and have the shop glue it on for me.

Hard work's done, finally. Ready to have this project behind me and to work on getting the little tears in the convertible top mended.
Pics please on the mirror project. Have thought about that for some time. All the other cars have auto dim and it is pretty nice.
Any requests? It's all buttoned up now, installed and good to go. Not much to see except an installed mirror. I suppose I should have taken photos of the harness as I was making it...

Close up of the finished deal with the wires that do show, plus a window shot perhaps. Thx.

Funny... I removed all my hardtop shims after realizing that it was my latches that were rattling...

I know I have been warned about latch noise, but it never sounded like latches rattling...it sounded like the roof was moving around... Dang it!

I spent WAY too many calories taking the roof on and off, repositioning the rear brackets over and over again, removing the front headliner to play around with shim installation, etc... When all I had to do was put a little bit of foam inside the latches to eliminate the rattling... <sigh>...

Again, I know that others (including people in this very thread) have told me that the noise might be coming from the latches...but for one reason or another, I never tried tacking the noise at the latches...I started with the most complicated, frustrating potential cause first.... Argh!

Changed my diff and tranny fluid. The original owner had 6th gear popout issues and the transmission fluid was replaced back in '05 but likely hadn't been touched since. it was probably the original diff fluid as well. So that needed to be done. Gonna try to get around to bleeding the clutch and brakes over the next couple of weeks as well.

The harness only has three wires (constant 12V, switched 12V, and ground), and the visible wires are shrink-wrapped in black as you can see. I'm surprised how obvious the wire looks in the photos. Looking at it it's hard to tell there's anything there.

Thanks for the pics. Nice install. Are you happy with the model of mirror you purchased?

I have thought about trying to make a new mirror fit the Honda mount so I could easily reverse things if it did not work out. Perhaps even getting a Honda dimming mirror and seeing if I could make it work.
