Just getting my stuff together to put it away. It takes me a good few hours to prep it for storage but at least I got to drive it later than ever this year due to warm temps. That's over, so it is time for the long wait until my next drive.

Make sure they did not add any power steering fluid anywhere!

What kind of stuff do you do in prep for storage? I got mine just this summer, so this will be the first time I need to think about this.

It doesn't get below freezing here much over the winter -- I'd say December lows are typically ~5C / 40F -- and car is in a non-heated garage year-round. So as far as actually "winterizing" it, I don't think I'll need to do anything... but I'm curious about what others typically do.

-Fill tank with gas.
-Pump tires to max pressure to keep from flat spotting.
-Change engine oil.
-Un-latch top
-Keep e-brake down and put trans into reverse.

If in an area with wildlife: Stuff rags in exhaust pipe and intake box. Lay "Bounce" sheets around and in car, apparently they keep rodents away.

We're done tomorrow one last fall drive to warm up the oil, the oil will be changed and she's going away for the winter. Thanks for the advice on the roof latch!

thanks for this, helpful! One question, why unlatch the top? About to store mine for the first time this winter (new to me)

I guess that you're beginning your driving season. Are you on the North or South Island? My wife and I visited the South Island a couple of years ago, a truly epic trip! An S2000 would be a total blast to drive down there! I'm ex-military and have been fortunate enough to have traveled quite a bit, but New Zealand is unsurpassed in scenery and friendliness of it's people. The country totally rocks! I'm hoping to visit again.
