If in an area with wildlife: Stuff rags in exhaust pipe and intake box. Lay "Bounce" sheets around and in car, apparently they keep rodents away.
Do you un-latch your hardtop? Or softop only?

In addition: add fuel stabilizer and connect a battery tender to the car

I'm ex-military and have been fortunate enough to have traveled quite a bit, but New Zealand is unsurpassed in scenery and friendliness of it's people. The country totally rocks! I'm hoping to visit again.
I'm on the East coast of the North Island, just outside a small town. The road I live on is the start of a good driving loop that is very popular with motorcyclists and the local exotic owners so weekends make for great viewing. We have some of the best weather in the country so I can drive my S all year round but sadly I don't often get the time, far too much to be done on our property.

My understanding is that unlatching the top allows the soft top "skin" to relax. This keeps the top from stretching and deforming during storage. Therefore keeping the top tight when you do latch it back up in the spring.

Weather or not it makes much of a difference is up for debate. But why not, right?

As for the soft top I do not unlatch it. To me its not different than keeping the doors closed.

Made run to the post office. Able to get into VTEC in the lower gears. Rev matched, double clutched downshifts. Didn't run over any children. Practiced social distancing.

Got rid of the metal vacuum tubing attached to the fuel rail as I have an AEM rail that no longer supports it.

Neatly ran vacuum lines from the check valve to a Y coupling to the intake manifold and air control valve.

Also took apart the V-tec solenoid and replaced both the gaskets from ballade sports.

Jacked up the car because I hear a loud rattle at low rpms or idle, gave the cat a few hits with a mallet and sure enough after 150k's of hard working service it's toast.

Berk 70mm hfc should be coming in next week to swap out, hopefully it doesn't decapitate my wideband sensors probe before then.

It was 63 outside today so I took my s2k back out of storage let some air out of the tires and drove a full tank of gas out. I blew my leaves yesterday so I got the drive while my neighbors were all yard-working! Then I refilled the tank, put fuel preserver back in, washed the car, waxed it and the wheels, reinflated the tires and stuffed the tail pipes, checked the oil...stored her all over again for the winter. I regret nothing.

Brought the car up to my shop yesterday for the first round of maintenance (maybe ever?) Changed the diff fluid, trans fluid, spark plugs and programmed a new Honda remote. Have a new key cut (car didn’t come with spare set) but I’ll have to find someone who can program it. Forgot to retorque axle nuts so I’ll do that next round. Got coolant and brake/clutch fluids next.
