Buying a membership is the best $20 I've spent in a long time and the site just keeps on giving and giving.

Glad you got a kick out of it.

Well, let me be the first non-owner to respond. I'm sort of a strange case (those who know me, hold the comments ). I found S2ki to be a fantastic resource when I started looking at the S2000 as a possible purchase. I thought it was such a valuable resource that I decided to become a member. Figured that I had access to enough information on the site to justify the relatively small sum of money it cost (and I was between jobs at the time).

Anyway, my research on the site combined with the knowledge and experiences of the PacNorthwest S2000 gang actually convinced me NOT to get an S2000 (lots of reasons)...but I still hang out on this site every day.

The people are great...the information is great...the debates are great...I just basically find S2ki to be one of the best (if not THE best) online community for enthusiasts of any topic.

Let me clarify something. I didn't stickie this thread as a request for money, and I'd rather it not degenerate into that type of thread. I, and I think YeloS2000ShowGrl when she posted it, want this thread to just be a way for the people who visit this board to express what they get out of it. No more, no less. I think the title of this thread is very appropriate and does not in any way, shape, or form, come off as a request for money or membership. Can we please just let this thread stay clean. If it degenerates I'll unstickie it, and I think that would be sad.

Interesting social interaction (on occasion), but certainly no more or less so than many "real life" ones. I was actually trying to keep it from becoming one of "those threads." Looks like I screwed it up again...

Even so, I like seeing other people's thoughts about what the site means to them, so I'll shut up now and sit down. <g>

It is one thing to not be a member and contribute to the cost of running this site. To each his own.

But to have the balls to try and make these hard working men and women who run this site feel guilty about the occasional plug to raise the membership quota,....unbelievable.

Consider it a commercial and if you are not a member you should have nothing to say about it.

Oh and you don't have to try so hard to justify why you won't contribute a measly $20. Most of us will just think you are too cheap no matter what you say.

What does S2KI mean to me?

It is a place of dreams, of good times and of knowledge. Strangers from around the globe gather here and join together in a common love of cars and a common bond of friendship.

S2KI to me?

A great place that has led to new friends, new experiences and a new car! This site had the best information on this car when I was looking to make my purchase and the personal experiences I read about solidified my decision. I love my car and I love this site. I've tried twice in the last couple of weeks to purchase my membership on-line but it keeps erroring out. I will be joining as a gold member in the new year.

Viva la S2KI!

Calm down now

The great thing about living in America is that everyone is entitled to their own opinions...Whether or not you agree with what he said is one thing, but he has the right to post what he feels none the less, just like you have the right to post a follow up comment...Just my opinion...

The big question is where do you join up? There does not appear to be a link for membership.
