Man Alive....

Keep this post on topic...There is another thread to hash out your views on memberships..

So I trust that the above post will be the last on we see on this thread!

S2Ki to me, means a big part of my life.

Through this site, and my purchase of my S2000, I have met what I consider to be one of my best friends in the world, and I purposfully do not have many friends..

If I got nothing else out of it, it would have been all worth it, truth is though, all the posts above are the same things that S2Ki means to me as well.

and if this post looks like it was written by a 4 yearold then Bahhh I'm very tired

Mindcore,

This is why I deleted my previous posts, and why I didn't bother reposting one that was accidentally deleted. I have no doubt that I would do well to get the aftermarket testicles that Beig has suggested I need, and I'm sure I can always use a manners upgrade. <g>

The point I was *trying* to make is... those of us who've been around the Internet for awhile have seen most of the same things from other venues, such as chat rooms in Virtual Places, really active newsgroups, moderated mailing lists, and so on. Having moderated a half-dozen mailing lists with several thousand members, I'm aware of how much dedication it requires. The reason I did so (as did my fellow moderators), was because of the sense of community that developed. In large part, that's what happens here.

However, I've seen and felt that same sense of community in many other ways (online and off), so while I find this an interesting and useful site, it's by no means a replacement for other communities that I participate in. Some of them, like LouisvilleStreets.com, are more localized, but lose the flavor of a site dedicated to a single vehicle model. Others (more programmming or sports oriented), seem more focused on a specific topic, and tend to lose the "sitting around the water cooler" feel, but in return, don't have all the flame-wars going.

It's not the be-all, end-all to online communities, but it's certainly one of the better ones. That's why I stick around, even in the face of suggestions that I'm cheap, ill-mannered, or at least testosterone deficient.

Dang... I promised myself I'd stop posting late-night messages. They always seem to get me in trouble.

Tim

I was going to post here, but Triple H said it perfectly. Ditto.

I spend way to much time on this site. It is absolutely my favorite.

Now that I've got more than an unemployment check to look forward to (woohoo I'm back to work), I'll happily fork over the $20 for membership. Thanks s2ki from not being bored stiff over the last 9 months. Without this site I'm sure I would have had to check myself in at the nut house. Nine months is way to long to be out of work.

Thank God I paid cash for my S, otherwise I'm sure I would have had to give her back.

Hey everyone make sure that you join Columbia House if your already not a member, new DVD offer out after Christmas. Sorry had to put a plug in for my new employer.

I enjoy talking with people who enjoy the same thing I do... the S2000. I like to see what others have done to thiers as well as hear about what kind of mods are available. I love the photo section and also having the resource of knowledge out there when I have questions. This is the only S2000 site I visit and would be very, no let me reword that..VERY upset if it were to ever leave me. Keep up the great work and I will continue with my membership.

I come here to mostly Bull$hit, enjoy the company of fellow automobile enthusiasts, and hopefully exchange some information that makes all our motoring experiences more enjoyable!

The S2KI board is a swap meet of information, ideas and feelings. Where else do you get that many people together from different walks of life, with different stuff going on, who share at least one thing in common?
I mean where else are you gonna find a bunch of broke d!ck guys who are sooooo eager to put down their rent check for a go fast crack pipe mod?
It's all here, ladies (?) and gentlemen. This is the place where you get to see the stories unfold and take part in the best bench racing in the world.
I just wish we had more chicks....
